Symptoms:
Cabbage looper larvae eat lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, spinach and related cole crops. Heads are riddled with holes and insect droppings and “frass” from feeding make the products unmarketable. Larvae germinate from eggs laid by brownish colored moth.

Control:
Consult the Vegetable IPM Web Site for recommended controls of this pest. This pest is also being managed by BT sprays or genetically engineered crops that have been altered to produce BT toxin.
