Symptoms:
Light belly color is common in many cucurbit species, but is particularly problematic in cucumbers where uniform green coloration is important. The side of fruit lying against moist, cool soil is often yellowish or whitish in color.

Control:
Some varieties are more susceptible to developing light belly color. Use varieties not prone to this disorder. Plastic mulch often decreases the severity of this problem.
