Scientific name: Chlorophytum comosum
Description: Tropical plant producing clumps of soft, arching, lance-shaped leaves up to 3/4 inches wide. During active growth period, pale yellow stems up to 2 feet long arch upward between the leaves. They carry small six-petaled white flowers, which are succeeded by little plants appearing either singly or in groups.
Light: Bright light, with some direct sunlight; midday light may scorch leaves
Temperature: Warm room temperatures
Methods of propagation: Plantlets can be detached and potted or potted while still on parent plant.
Comment: Excellent hanging baskets but can be susceptible to leaf burn from poor quality water.
