Scientific name: Lilium longiflorum and Lilium species
Description: Single-stemmed bulbous plants. Lance-shaped, arching leaves grow in an alternate pattern from the thick, herbaceous stems. The trumpet-shaped flowers of the Easter lily are white; hybrid lilies are available in red, orange, and yellow.

Comment: A very popular holiday plant. Caution…the anthers contain pollen which can permanently stain clothing.
