Daffodils


Scientific name: Narcissus species

Description: Bulbous plants with few long, slender, light green leaves and a long, thin flower stalk rising directly from the neck of the bulb. The flower stalk is topped by one or more trumpet- or cup-shaped flowers. The flower colors can be variable from pure white to yellow or orange with a mixing of these basic colors.

Light: Bright, indirect light

Temperature: Cool room temperatures

Methods of propagation: Bulblets

Comment: Daffodils are an excellent spring flowering plant. Pot varieties are not well adapted for use in the garden. Discard after flowers have faded.
