Chrysanthemum


Scientific name: Chrysanthemum morifolium

Description: Bushy, soft-woody-stemmed plants with divided medium-sized dark green leaves. Multi-petalled, daisy-like flowers are borne at the end of long stems and are found in almost every color except true blue.

Light: Bright, indirect light

Temperature: Keep cool (55 – 65 degrees F)

Methods of propagation: Seed, cuttings and simple division.

Comment: A very popular indoor flowering plant which can last up to 3-4 weeks in the home. These plants are not adapted to outdoor conditions and should be discarded after the flowers have faded.
