Description
Produces by long, tough stolons that take root at the woolly nodes. The erect, flattened stem joints are slick. The top leaf blade clings closely to the narrow seed head. Seeds turn from green to brown with maturity.
Vinemesquite is a perennial, warm-season, native - 12 to 30 inches tall.
Good grazing for livestock. Fair grazing for wildlife.
Habitat
Grows along banks of streams or ditches, on bottomlands, and in depressions of highly productive soils.
