We have many projects from which to choose to work on. One is downtown Henderson which is the county seat,and it is planted and maintained by some of our members. Others seed, plant and maintain the A&M Research Center Demonstration Garden in Overton, Texas. Landscaping around the airport terminal was provided by the master gardeners. Presently, we are working on a trial Earthkind Rose garden located at the Rusk County Airport which will be monitored to record it's effectiveness. We provided landscaping for the city annex, firestation, Smith Park and also planted crepe myrtles near "Welcome to Henderson" signs. There are other projects in the planning stage, such as creating a demonstration garden in Henderson.
Every year, the master gardeners have a booth at the Rusk County Electric Co-op Home, Ranch and Garden Show. At that show, we sell plants and offer knowledge and growing tips. Stop by and see us!Choose the project you would like to know more about:
