[Singing and dancing in the flowers]

Frolicking in the flowers in Fredericksburg. Does it get any better that this? Do I get paid for this? No.

These are some beautiful flowers and here it is July and August and look at them blooming. They are called Cosmos. One of the prettiest receding annual flowers that you can plant. And you can plant them now in the hot of the summer and they'll bloom this summer, late summer, and also in the early fall. So this is a plant that you need to think about.

And look at these beautiful colors. Even the babies and their moms like to stop by and get them.

Of course, since you are watching the weekend gardener, we have a good deal for you on these because our friends at Wildseed Farm up in Fredericksburg have a special offer, ten dollars for a quarter of a pound of seeds. That will plant a big area. So for ten dollars you can order a quarter pound of seed from Fredericksburg, P.O. Box 3000 in Fredericksburg, TX 78624 ( Plant them right now and you will have beautiful fall color and some summer.

This has been Jerry Parsons, Vegetable Specialist for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, the Weekend Gardener.
