LANGUAGE / FREE CHOICE ELECTIVES

The University Core Curriculum requires that each student earn two years of high school foreign language credit before attending TAMU or take two semesters of foreign language at the university level. If a student must take foreign language to meet the core curriculum requirement, it should be entered in this section. If the language requirement has been met at the high school level, then these credit hours will be free electives and may be taken in any area. These electives allow a student to take coursework not directly related to his/her degree plan or to take additional courses to enhance the specialization.
