HUMANITIES
This is a part of the University Core Curriculum. Any course printed in the Undergraduate Catalog as acceptable for the humanities requirement in the core curriculum may be used on your degree plan. These include certain courses from such areas as AGEC, ANTH, ARCH, ARTS, ENDS, ENGL, GEOG, HIST, HORT, HUMA, LAND, LING, MUSC, MODL, PHIL, SCOM, and THAR. Consult the TAMU undergraduate catalog of the year that you entered TAMU or a more recent year for a list of approved courses. Courses transferred in by title may be accepted for use in this category if they have been approved by the Dean of the COALS. To submit a course transferred by title for approval, please see the undergraduate coordinator. Note: If you took foreign language in high school and used it to meet the foreign language requirements of the core curriculum, you can not use introductory level foreign language courses in that same language taken at the college level to meet the humanities requirement.
