Setting the Initial Local Directory You may configure your session to open a particular folder (directory) on your local computer when you log in to the Web server. Set this preference to the folder in which you store the files you want to upload to your Web site. This saves time since you do not have to browse to find the files you want to upload.

You may leave the "initial remote host directory" blank, since you will be automatically logged into your root directory. Enter the path to the folder on your local computer in the "initial local directory" line.
