Salinity induced chlorosis in citrus is similar to that seen in other plants. The leaf becomes bleached or yellow generally all over, but starting at the terminal and working in to medial portion. Advanced stages are characterized by large areas of chlorosis including the veins.

Salinity induced leaf tip burn in citrus is similar to that seen in other plants. The leaf develops necrosis near terminal and the marginal portion. Advanced stages are characterized by necrosis extending in to the medial portion of the leaves and including the veins.
