Iron deficiency

Iron deficiency is seen in citrus as interveinal chlorosis, like in other crops. The midrib and other veins are green and the other areas of the leaf are yellow. There are only a few deficiencies that will have this appearance.

Iron chlorosis

Iron chlorosis in 'Ruby Red' grapefruit also manifests itself as interveinal chlorosis. The leaves will appear pale, but the veins will still be green, since translocation of Fe is obviously limited.

Iron chlorosis

Iron chlorosis is evident in this young row of citrus. If you look closely, you can see the pale color of the leaves. These plants are obviously stunted from lack of iron, compared to the rows on either side which were planted at the same time.
