Technology-Mediated Instruction at TAMU

Students come into HORT 315 with a wide variety of experiences with Web-based, Web-assisted, and technology-mediated instruction. The intent of this trial essay is to have you share those experiences with the course instructor.

Begin by describing the technology-mediated courses you have taken and how they were conducted. Then elaborate on the experience you had with one (either positive or negative) that has formed the basis of your opinion of the role of technology-mediated instruction in the college experience.

As a summary, you are welcome to offer suggestions on how to improve technology-mediated instruction and comment on whether its use should be increased or decreased.

This essay will not be graded, but I will note whether you submit a trial and will comment in general terms on the writing style, grammar, and spelling. While this essay is not required, I expect class members to take advantage of this opportunity.

Reminder:
Your essay will be scored according to the guidelines posted on the course Web site. When you cite relevant sources from the Web, remember to have your link address to the specific document you want to cite rather than to that site's home page.
