| INTRODUCTION:Choosing the right plant for a given location is essential for its
success, but planting that plant properly at the location is also essential. Although the
basic techniques for planting small and large, woody and herbaceous plants are similar,
the specific techniques employed differ. The basic differences are preparation of the site
and the width and depth of the hole used for transplanting. If several plants are to be
planted near each other, a bed that would include the group of plants may be a better way
to prepare the site than digging individual holes with a limited surface preparation
around each hole. |
