INTRODUCTION:

Nearly forty types of fruits can be grown in gardens in Texas. A collection of fruits is being developed in the Holistic Garden. Some, such as the plum, fig and blackberry and strawberry are common. Others, such as the pomegranate, papaya and jujube are not.

OBJECTIVES:

Learn to identify and grow fruits adapted to gardens in Texas.

 

ACTIVITY:
  • Plant a new fruit crop in the Holistic Garden.
  • Maintain the fruits crops already established in the garden.
