Flavorcrest


Released by the USDA breeding program in Fresno, CA in 1975.  Flavorcrest has been used in northern areas of the Medium Chill Region (zone 4) because of its dependability and overall excellent quality.  The fruit is very firm and holds well on the tree.  Flavorcrest has excellent size, shape, and color as well.  It should not be grown in areas of high Bacterial Leaf Spot pressure.

    Chill Req.:  750 C.U.,  Ripe: -33 D.B.E. (about 6/12 in Central Texas).
Zones: 1-4.
