Fireprince
Released by the USDA breeding program in
Byron, GA in 1986. Fireprince is a consistent producer with
overall good fruit quality. The variety is increasing in
popularity and would probably be more popular, but many growers
are generally satisfied with Majestic
and Redglobe in the
July 4th season. Fireprince seems to tolerate mild winters
better than other varieties in this season. Fruit below
were grown in Zone 4.
