Essential Information....

The majority of my life has been spent in Fort Worth, Texas...a city with a colorful past and rich heritage. I graduated from Nolan Catholic High School and subsequently attended The University of Texas At Arlington where I graduated with a B.S. in Biology, cum laude. At present, I am working toward a Masters of Science in Hoticulture through the Department Of Horthcultural Sciences and the rose breeding and genetics program. My research interests include developing genetic markers for roses and breeding with Brownell roses. I am also interested in Botany and enjoyed being a teaching assistant for Botany 620 in spring 2004.

Roses are amazing plants....I have been growing them since age 13. Learning about them has been a wonderful ongoing process.
I find nature fascinating and tend to spend my vacations camping, hiking and discovering new and interesting spots. Some of my favorite locations for hiking and camping are the Fort Worth Nature Center and Big Bend National Park. I also enjoy Jazz music of the 1920's and 1930's and architecture of that same era.
