Symptoms:
Variety of large, rusty-brown colored ants noted for cutting leaves and leaf pieces from plants that are carried back to mounds where they are used for feeding the fungus colonies "farmed" by the ants. Ants mound in sandy, well drained soil. May cause severe defoliation of plants near their mounds.
