A nice-looking, shrub-like perennial, E. griffithii has reddish stems and light green, sessile, lanceolate leaves with red edging and midribs. Flowers (cyathiums), as with all euphorbs, are inconspicuous and form in terminal cymes. The bracts of E. grifffithi, however, are an attractive orange-red. Leaves turn yellow and red in fall.
