Oriental Lily
Lilium oriental

Liliaceae

The oriental hybrids are large-flowered, fragrant, and quite colorful. They are valued in the cut-flower industry for dramatic effects in arrangments, and for their long vase life. Stems grow to about four feet with whorled ovate-lanceolate leaves that are deeply veined. Recurved petals generally have pink or brown speckled center markings. Flowers are six or more inches across on branching racemes, blooming in July and August.
