Growth habit is rounded and bushy, but it is not invasive.

Provides spring color in May and June, as well as fall color.

Very attractive, round clump of erect stems bear brigght green/yellow sessile leaves. Like its relative the poinsettia, its bright yellow-orange bracts also appear to be petals of the flowers. This perennial looks good all summer long and grows well in normal garden soil.
