| Montbretia Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora Iridaceae Exceedingly popular with visitors to Blue Grass Lane, Crocosmia has the attractive foliage of the iris family that lasts throughout the season. But it also features profusely blooming panicles of clear and deep, rich reds, oranges, and orange-yellows that intermingle and rise above the green lanceolate leaves. Plant Type: perennial Plant Form or Habit: fan-shaped Plant Use: Beds, borders, grouped, as cut flowers. Especially striking if planted near a dark-foliage plant such as Eupatorium 'Chocolate.'
