Basal leaves are long-petioled and pubescent, palmately divided. Erect stems also are pubescent and single-flowered. Pure white flowers are two to three inches wide with yellow centers and nod in the wind. Blooms again periodically in summer and again in fall. Flowers turn into unusual white, wooly balls.
