• Lecture (Theory): Three exams of increasing weight (20%, 30% and 40%) will be given. The last exam will be the final. The additional 10% of the lecture grade will be based on quizzes, assignments and class participation. The lecture grade will make up 50% of your final grade.
• Lab (Practice): 4 quizzes emphasizing plant structure and identification will be given. Each quiz will count equally towards 70% of your overall lab grade, with the lowest quiz being dropped. The lab final will account for the remaining 30%. The overall lab grade will account for 50% of your final grade.
• Attendance: Attendance is monitored and considered as part of your grade in class participation. Makeup quizzes for those with excused absences will be given on an individual basis.
