A number of Nr mutant phenotypes were observed. Figure A shows ripe fruit of Pierson Nr/Nr and Pierson +/+ ripe fruit. Figure B shows ripe fruit of Ailsa Craig(AC) Nr/Nr, AC Nr/+, AC +/+. Figures C and D show the inflorescence of Pierson +/+ and Pierson Nr/Nr treated with 50 µl/L of ethylene. Figures E and F are Pierson +/+ flowers 6 and 9 days after flower opening. Figure G, H, and I are Pierson Nr/Nr flowers 11, 13 and >15 days after flower opening.
