Cindy was the coordinator for a temporary children's exhibit at Longwood Gardens during the summer following completion of the coursework for her M.S in 1994. She was the Children's Education Coordinator for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society from 1994-1997, where she conducted outreach programming and developed curricula about plant science, gardening, and ecology.
Cindy is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University under the direction of Dr. Jayne Zajicek. She is developing school gardening curricula and teacher training programs to evaluate their effectiveness for student achievement of required curriculum content.
