Volunteers

The term garden volunteer takes on many definitions here at the Holistic Garden. The garden currently has several forms of individuals that donate their time and efforts into the development and maintenance of the gardens. Brazos County Master Gardeners regularly have volunteers working throughout the facility. Students working for exercise, research, class projects, and just the shear enjoyment of being outside all donate their time to helping out. Several other state programs offer volunteer assistance on a very regular basis. The efforts of all of these individuals is greatly appreciated.

We schedule regular volunteer workdays where a variety of people come together to dig in the garden, but more than that, to have an enjoyable time. We provide air cold mint tea and usually prepare some garden dishes for everyone to feast on.

Volunteering in the garden is fun and very rewarding. Please come by and see what is growing and find out how you can help keep this garden growing. Many thanks to everyone that helps us.
