Vegetables

Vegetable plantings occur throughout the garden. They are the dominant plants in the Kitchen Garden, occupy the central beds in the Warren and Margaret Barham Texas Heritage Garden, appear in Sensory and Enabling Garden beds and are part of the research/demonstration plots that appear at various places in the Holistic Garden. The vegetable planting in the Discovery Trail focuses on the origin of our vegetables and their health benefits. The seven beds of vegetables in this area are planted seasonally to vegetables from the various continents. The Organic Garden in the Discovery Trail also includes vegetable plantings.
