The Sensory Garden

The Sensory Garden and the large pergola at its end was developed with a gift from Brazos County Master Gardeners. This garden illustrates how we can use plants and the environment of the garden to stimulate our senses, the garden as a sensory experience. It contains plants that are visually attractive and/or have interesting textures. One bed focuses on plants that are edible but all beds have plants that are fragrant. The rustling of grasses, singing of birds and the sound of wind chimes all help stimulate the sense of hearing.
