Propagation
There are two basic types of propagation techniques that are used on plants: sexual propagation and asexual propagation. Sexual propagation is propagation by seed. Asexual propagation, sometimes referred to as vegetative propagation or cloning, is propagation using vegetative parts of the plant, for example leaves, stems or roots. Some common forms of asexual propagation are propagation using natural vegetative plant propagules, such as corms, bulbs, tubers, rhizomes, etc., and propagation by such techniques as division, separation, layerage, cuttage, and graftage.
