Welcome back to Fall semester to our returning students and first time students as well. Just a reminder that we will be having an official graduate student meeting at noon on Sept. 6th in HFSB 203. We will serve pizza and soft drinks. We'll talk about updates on various Departmental/College/University policies and it will be an opportunity for you to met the new graduate students if you have not already done so. We will also have reps from HGC talk to you about some of their reorganization initiatives for those who might have missed their meeting.

I would also like to thank all of our returning students for their participation in yesterday's seminar, Dr. Reed gave us some very interesting food for thought in our teaching activities for the new millennium students. I would also like to formally invite the new students to join us for our Departmental seminar series, something I should have done at orientation but forgot. See you all next week!

Hey Hort Graduate Students, this is your first official posting on the bulletin board! This is just a reminder to file your out-of-state tuition waiver forms. With all the talk about tuition payments to graduate students by the university, we need to keep in mind that those qualifying for the payments will be covered only for in-state tuition. You still must file an out-of-state tuition waiver form.
