Brenda Beust Smith, "The Lazy Gardener", is a gardening broadcaster for Houston's PBS station, Channel 8, on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and repeated again at 10:00 p.m. She provides freelance articles to the Houston Chronicle and is author of "The Lazy Gardener's Guide" and "The Lazy Gardener's Calendar".
