The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and improve the quality of life through horticultural projects in Galveston County.

The Galveston County Master Gardener Program classes are conducted one time a year beginning in early February, lasting approximately eight weeks. Classes are conducted, generally, each Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m.

During the course of the year, we collect names and the contact information of those individuals who are interested in the next Master Gardener training course. Toward the end of December, packets are made available to those individuals. Each packet contains the official application, a list of Frequently Asked Questions and Answers about the program, and the unofficial class schedule.

If you would like to receive information about the next training class, please send an email with your name, address and phone number in the body of the email. You will receive an email notifying you when the application documents for the 2016 Master Gardener program are available. Meanwhile, you may consider reading through the information about the Class of 2015.
