The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and improve the quality of life through horticultural projects in Galveston County. The Galveston County Master Gardener Program classes are conducted one time a year beginning in early February, lasting approximately eight weeks. Classes are conducted, generally, each Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. The 2013 Master Gardener Course will be held beginning on Monday, February 11 and on each Tuesday and Thursday thereafter through April 4, 2013. Classes are conducted, generally, from 1 to 5 p.m. However, there will be one class that will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as a field trip held one Wednesday morning. Please be sure to read through the tentative schedule and updated Q&A posted below. Information packets, including the application for the 2013 Master Gardener Course, are currently available at the Extension Office. Applications are due by Thursday, January 31, 2013 with interviews being conducted February 4-8. Feel free to come by the office to pick up a packet, or email to have one mailed to you, or download the information from the links below and mail or bring it to the office.
