Planters - Keep in mind persons abilities also when you look for planters.  Some planters are stationary because of their size and weight.  Make sure large planters are "user friendly".  Ensure they are high enough to work with by adding additional functionality, such as incorporating a bench.

Smaller, hanging planters can be attached to hooks, making them possible to work with on a table or in someone's lap.

A similar option is to use hanging baskets suspended by pulleys.  Mount the tie-off low enough so that it is accessible to someone sitting in a chair.
