Frank Dainello received his B.S. in Agriculture from SE Louisiana College in 1964. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Horticulture from Louisiana State University in 1966 and 1969, respectively. Dr. Dainello is a Member of the Graduate Faculty of Texas A&M University, and can serve as a Chair, Co-Chair or Member of Graduate Student Advising Committees. He became a Member of the Graduate Faculty in May 1982.
Dr. Dainello's areas of research are vegetable production practices, water use efficiency, and disease control in spinach.
"My philosophy regarding graduate student advising is to create an environment that encourages an individual to become a creative and independent thinker. To this end, particular attention is placed on focused, application type research geared to the problem solving needs of the Texas vegetable industry. Guidance and direction with regard to field research and Extension methodology is given."
