Dr. Sam Cotner Retires!

Dr. Sam Cotner has retired as the Head of the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University. Dr. Cotner’s career within the Texas A&M University System began over 30 years ago when he assumed the responsibilities of Vegetable Specialist for the Wintergarden region. Sam later served as a State Vegetable Specialist for the Department, and Associate Department Head for Extension prior to assuming the duties of Department Head.

Dr. Cotner has been a good friend of commercial vegetable growers and home gardeners throughout the state. His concern for and dedication to our industry will be missed. We wish him well.
