The composting site includes a wooden three-bin turning unit. This turning unit is a permanent, sturdy structure that provides more space for composting than a single composting bin. The composting materials can be turned from one unit to the next, with each of the three units at different stages. In other words, bin 1 can be used for fresh incoming organic materials, bin 2 for half-done compost, and bin 3 for finished compost. The materials are turned regularly within each bin and shifted from one bin to the next when they reach the desired level of decomposition.
