Fusarium Rot

Fusarium roseum and other species

Symptoms:
Fruit lesions begin as small corky cracks that develop into sunken necrotic lesions. Internal tissue near the site of infection becomes off color and corky. Fruit decay results in a firm, dry rot.

Control:
Cultural practices that decrease fruit contact with soil may lessen impact of this disease. Fungicides sprays may be beneficial in applied early enough.
