ANGEL'S TRUMPET

For a great way to add color and interest to your garden try Angel's Trumpet. Angel's Trumpet (Brugmansia) is a plant with huge, showy, trumpet-shaped blooms that adds a striking look to the garden. It is a flowering shrub with big fragrant blooms in yellow, white, or peach. This fast growing plant is easy to grow and prefers full sun but can handle partial shade, especially during hot East Texas summers.

Plant it in rich soil that has been amended with a healthy dose of compost and give it lots of water. Angel's trumpet will usually require frequent watering during the hot summer months as it likes moist conditions. It can be grown in the garden but will freeze in the winter and might not recover if not in a tropical area. In East Texas it can be grown in a container. If container grown, plan on using a large container as this is a fast growing plant. It can be propagated by cuttings that are rooted. One word of caution: all parts of this plant are toxic so gloves should be used when handling this plant.

A fragrant flowering shrub that will bring a spark of interest and color to any garden, try one of the many colors of Angel's Trumpet.
