CREATING YOUR OWN PLANT MARKERS

CREATING YOUR OWN PLANT MARKERS

A superb and inexpensive method for labeling your plants, whether in a container, flower garden, or vegetable garden, is to use mini-blind slats. Take the strings off and cut the individual mini-blind slats into the size you need. If it is placed in the bright sun, use a marker that is sun-proof to keep it from fading. A #2 pencil will also mark on the plastic. To be sure that you don't lose the name of your plant, bury a second marker next to the plant. Hidden away from the sunlight, the ink will not fade.
