GARDENING INFO ON THE INTERNET

When it gets too hot for gardening outdoors, why not garden on the Internet instead? The Internet, a worldwide network of computers connected through telephone lines, enables you get information at your computer by communicating with other computers. Use your computer and a modem to get onto the Internet B once there, the fun begins.

For example, A Garden Web Forums@, is a bulletin board that allows you to exchange information with other gardeners. Another site, A Spring Valley Roses@, lists books about gardening and helpful hints.

Shopping for the garden is easy on the Internet. Visit retailers' sites to get product information and shop for the best prices.

Some sites have the text of gardening books that may be printed or saved on your computer as a bookmarked@ favorite site.

Interested in gardens around the world? Many gardening societies have informative sites and offer information exchange. Descriptions and photos of various gardens are available. Some garden sites even have audio and visual tours.
