The Contemporary Design Class will expand your knowledge and vocabulary, creativity, mechanics and understanding of European and Oriental Design concepts. Learn the latest design styles:
-Continental
-Horticultural
-Architectural
-Native
-Monofloral
Each student will also learn the techniques of basing, binding, facing, framing, faux finishes, pavë, plaiting, shadowing, sheltering and making armatures. Fresh floral materials will be used. There will be ample opportunity to discuss the newest concepts into your own daily work. Each student will be able to take all of their own designs home after class.

Receive a Texas A&M University CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION from THE BENZ SCHOOL of FLORAL DESIGN. The student keeps all designs made in class.

INSTRUCTORS:
JIM JOHNSON, Director of THE BENZ SCHOOL of FLORAL DESIGN, AAF, AIFD, TMF, has designed and taught across the US and in several countries from Canada and Mexico to Germany. WILLIAM MCKINLEY, AIFD, Instructor of Floriculture at Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL and Author of "The Cut Flower Companion".

LOCATION:
The classes will be held in the floral design studio at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The tuition is $450.00 which includes all class materials, supplies, and a generous amount of printed hand-out materials. A DEPOSIT OF $150.00 is required with your registration form and the balance of $300.00 is due the first day of class. Should you not be able to attend, your deposit will be refunded with 3 business days notice prior to the first day of class.
