Watermelons for Summer Fun
Well, about the first part of July I start thinking about one of the best vegetables that we can grow around here and that's watermelon. Lord have mercy, look at that beauty. People are always talking about "Well, how do you eat yours?" Well, my daddy in Tennessee used to juice them.

But I just like to get down to eating them. You know, slice a little bit for my boys and just eat that middle right out of the middle of it.
Of course, people don't realize that watermelon is not only good, but it is good for you, because it's one of the best cleansers of your body parts that you can imagine. Now remember on watermelons, people are always saying "How do I know if it's good if I don't cut them?" Well at this time of the year they're all good in Texas so you don't have to worry about it. So go down and get you a good old fresh watermelon. And I don't care what your mama says. Remember the best part of the watermelon is what's left in the bottom. And that's the part that you just suck out. Mamas don't listen to this.

Mmmm, that's the juice and it's good for you and good to you.
