[Song "Swingin" by John Anderson]
You know this lawn care is pretty hard, pretty hard. A lot of us have been kind of resting and not taking care of our lawns like we should. This spring it rained so much the lawn was green and a lot of people just neglected to fertilize. Well that's all right. No need crying over spilled milk.
If you're going to fertilize only once a year do it in the fall and use one of the 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 ratios. Now that's a 15-5-10 or 16-4-8, something like that. Don't worry about remembering the numbers; it's got winterizer written on the bag.
Another thing that you might want to do is if you let your lawn kind of thin out or die out, you're going to have weeds, winter weeds in there. So you need to use a pre-emergence herbicide before the weed actually germinates and starts to grow. You can use baylan or betasand for that.
Those stupid ants will eat your feet off every time you get out of the swing so I like to get those with an organic control that actually changes their sex during the wintertime. That'll teach those little devils to bite me. So you can use some of those types of things to take care of the ants. Remember to put it on with a fertilizer spreader but also remember that's the hard working part of it and remember women's lib.
Carolyn you and the boy come out and put this fertilizer on for me I'm worn plum out.
