Q. My holly fern has brown spots all over the bottom of the leaves. It looks a lot like scale or some kind of disease. I don't want them to die--what should I give them?
A. PRIVACY! Your ferns are in the act of reproducing! Ferns are an ancient group of plants that reproduce by spores on the undersides of the leaves, not by seeds, as do flowering plants.
